Director Development Program

The Director Development Program is a leadership development program designed to provide participants with an understanding of each function within Kaplan’s career education business. The Director Development Program provides the opportunity to see the results by creating an immediate impact on the campus, its employees and students.

Program participants report directly to one of Kaplan Higher Education’s Regional Vice Presidents while completing 6-8 months of rotations, gaining in-depth experience in the career education industry and Kaplan Higher Education.

Each rotation lasts 1-2 months at various schools in a designated geographical territory. You will shadow, observe and serve in various roles to understand the expectations of the function. Campus rotations include: Admissions, Financial Aid, Education, Career Services and Finance.

You will shadow, observe and perform multiple roles to understand the expectations of the function. Each rotation will likely require travel to your assigned campus through the week, as well as any additional meetings or events identified by the program and your assigned manager.

This assignment will prepare successful participants with the ability to take on a Director-level role at one of our 70+ campuses.

The Director Development Program will offer multiple cohorts each year.

Leadership and Executive Accelerated Development Program (LEAD)

Kaplan’s KU Group LEAD Program is an 18-month leadership development program for recent MBA graduates. Program participants complete three  6 month rotations within the core functions of our online university business (i.e., Finance, Marketing, Human Resources, Student Operations, Academic Operations or Executive Operations).

The rotations are intended to ensure a solid skills foundation and understanding of the business as well as an enhanced self-awareness for developing leadership effectiveness.  The projects will be highly analytical and results oriented.  They will leverage the participant’s accumulating experience and training to deliver business results, and may involve project management, business process initiatives or a deeper dive into a specific business discipline.

The LEAD Program provides the opportunity for high-potential leaders to gain a broad perspective of the functions that are critical to the organization, setting the stage for the future success of our operational leaders. At program completion, participants will be qualified for a position at the senior individual contributor level or higher.

The LEAD Program will start in July.  All positions will be in Ft. Lauderdale, FL.
